Challenge/Results: Bringing a century-old building back to life always comes with challenges. In this case, the restoration required careful planning and close coordination with Xcel Energy to upgrade the electrical service and meet the heavy power load demands of a commercial bakery. This phase of the project was essential to ensure the building could support Odell’s Bagel’s specialized equipment and energy needs while also complying with updated safety and code requirements. 

The result is a beautiful space that thoughtfully combines modern design elements with the preserved character of the original structure. Executing with precision on REGULAR Architecture’s design, we were able to highlight the historic features and charm that make the building unique, like the exposed brick, restored woodwork, and large windows that connect the interior with the vibrant neighborhood outside. 

Now fully revitalized, Odell’s is a perfect example of adaptive reuse, offering both aesthetic appeal and functional space for a growing business.
