Sorry Gorgeous

PROJECT INFORMATION

Project type: Rooftop Restaurant and Bar

Location: 1350 40th Street, Denver, CO

Square footage: 3,728 sf, including outdoor patio

Scope: Full restaurant buildout in first-generation space

Challenge/Results: Situated on the 12th floor of Denver’s Novel RiNo building, Sorry Gorgeous is a sophisticated rooftop lounge by the Culinary Creative Group, offering unrivaled city and mountain views alongside a creative cocktail menu. This high-design space serves as both a resident amenity and a welcoming destination for the broader RiNo community, blending crafted drinks with a cozy, modern aesthetic.

The construction demanded intricate logistical management, including transporting materials to the rooftop of an occupied building and handling unique architectural challenges. Key features such as the double-radius bar, oculus dome, and serpentine banquette required precise framing and finishing to align with the design intent. The smaller the space, the more the execution of the details matters. Our team worked closely with architects at Front Line and Maximalist Interiors to ensure that complex elements like the custom inlaid floor pattern with brass schluters and overhead structural supports were flawlessly integrated, creating a high-impact experience for guests.
