Tech Industry Boom Claiming Commercial Space

By Uncategorized No Comments

There is currently a tech real estate gold rush for commercial properties on the Front Range. According to the Associated Press, since July 2017 tech companies have claimed almost 850,000 square feet of new office space from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs. That exceeds double the amount of space that tech companies were filling in the year previous. This brings the total space dedicated to tech companies over 17 million square feet in the region.

Both local company expansion and new migration are responsible for the recent growth. Whether it was moving head quarters or opening a new office, 22 companies have done so across the Front Range. Among these companies are tech giants Apple and Facebook, moving into offices downtown. Google would not be left out, moving into the first 242,800 square feet of its campus in Boulder. Amazon also recently announced plans for a forthcoming Boulder office that is sure to bolster the numbers as well.

Expansion into the Denver area is welcome sight here at Taurus. We love being apart of this community and have deep roots in all areas of the Front Range. Co-working Spaces on the Rise

By Uncategorized No Comments

The use of co-working spaces has expanded dramatically over the past few years in Denver. While this is happening worldwide, companies from a diverse selection of industries have been adapting to this new idea of office spaces from LoDo to South Broadway. Co-work spaces were once dominated by technology start-ups and freelancers. However, the recent bloom of these types of spaces has encouraged other industries to take notice and adapt.

The appeal of co-working offices is not lost on either side of the exchange. Property owners secure a long-term tenant in their building, while the tenant pool is varied enough to prevent a devastating industry downturn that would affect occupancy. Businesses enjoy a professional work environment with a community mindset at the fraction of the cost of a traditional lease. This versatility is the main driver behind this trend in Denver, as well as the rest of the world.
